Gopi is an ex-professional dancer, having completed several world tours with the acclaimed Irish Dance company, Spirit of the Dance but left her professional career to start a family. Gopi trained at the Northern Ballet School in jazz, contemporary, musical theatre and attained Advanced 2 levels in RAD ballet and ISTD ballet, modern, tap and national dance. As a child dancer, she was prolific in the dance festival scene regularly winning medals at the All-England finals and performing for royalty at the Royal Galas.

She is a fully qualified and registered teacher with both the Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and enters students for both RAD and ISTD exams. She gained distinction in all her teaching qualifications and RAD written papers.

Gopi collaborates with the award-winning contemporary dance company, Samadhi Dance Company and the Ballet School Marut Jorquera, both based in the Netherlands, where she runs the international summer school, Lyrical Summer Dance Intensive.

Gopi is also principal of Love Bollywood Dance School, where she teaches Bollywood and Bharatanatyam and enters students in ISTD Bharatanatyam exams. She has taught Bollywood with the RAD’s Step Into Dance Programme into London Borough schools and also taught Bollywood workshops at the MOVE IT dance event in London. She teaches Bollywood workshops in schools and dance colleges across the country.

Gopi’s other skills/hobbies include aerial silks, aerial hoop, acrobatics and gymnastics.
